a circulating space
Older apartment layouts often no longer fit the way we live today.
The biggest issue in this home was its closed-off circulation.
The blocked layout made movement around the kitchen uncomfortable and disconnected the overall space.
Part of the kitchen structure was modified to create a new passage, allowing the flow from the living room to the kitchen and back to the hallway to connect more naturally, making the home feel more open and connected.
The long hallway wall, which could have felt monotonous, was organized using wood textures and linear details, while indirect lighting added rhythm to the space.
The opposite wall was intentionally left minimal so the natural texture of the wood could stand out more clearly.
The goal was to update the old layout to better suit modern living while creating a comfortable and balanced atmosphere.
구축 아파트는 지금의 생활 방식과 맞지 않는 구조를 갖고 있는 경우가 많습니다.
이 집의 가장 큰 문제는 폐쇄적인 동선이었습니다.
막힌 구조로 인해 주방을 중심으로 한 이동이 불편했고 공간도 단절되어 있었습니다.
주방의 구조를 일부 변경해 새로운 통로를 만들고
거실에서 주방 다시 복도로 이어지는 동선이 자연스럽게 연결되면서 집 전체가 하나의 공간처럼 느껴지게 하였습니다.
단조로울 수 있는 긴 복도 벽면은 우드 소재로 면과 선을 정리하고 간접조명을 더해 공간에 리듬감을 만들었습니다.
반대편 벽면은 의도적으로 비워내 원목 질감이 더 자연스럽게 드러날 수 있도록 하였습니다.
오래된 구조를 지금의 생활 방식에 맞게 바꾸고 편안한 분위기로 만들었습니다.
